What this site does not do
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The fonts are served from this site. No data goes to font providers.
Hosting
The site is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Mailing list
You can subscribe to news and beta invitations with the form on the home page. The form sends your email address and your consent to the newsletter service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany), which keeps the list on my behalf under a data processing agreement. Brevo then sends you one email asking you to confirm. Your address joins the list only after you confirm. Brevo keeps a record of your sign-up and confirmation as proof of consent. The newsletter contains no open or click tracking.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Each email contains a link to unsubscribe. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@kyou.io. I then delete your address from the list. The form request passes through Cloudflare as described under Hosting.
Mail sent to info@kyou.io is received through Apple iCloud Mail (Apple Distribution International Limited, Cork, Ireland). I use your address and the content of your message only to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. Write to info@kyou.io to use them.
Supervisory authority
You may complain to the supervisory authority. For Baden-Württemberg this is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
